Three ways to buy

Pick the route that fits your year

A bundle is the most economical way to cover a lot of hours at once. Single courses suit you if you only need one or two, and they need no bundle and no subscription.

Best value

CPD bundles

One purchase covering a set number of hours, at a lower cost per hour than buying courses one by one.

  • Four tiers, priced from $23
  • Every bundle includes its Professionalism hour, except 4-A and 4-B
  • Sessions run live and are released afterwards as video
One at a time

Live webinars

Attend a single session on the day, ask questions, and take part.

  • No bundle, no subscription
  • Joining instructions and agenda by email
  • Live registration does not include the video version

On demand

Video courses

Recordings of C.D.E.S. live webinars, watched whenever suits you.

  • No bundle, no subscription
  • Access opens as soon as you register
  • Credit valid one year from the live presentation date

Registration

How to register

  1. Choose a bundle, or a single course, from the three routes above.
  2. Open the page for the bundle or course you want and complete the registration form there.
  3. Submit the form and pay. Access opens as soon as your registration goes through.
  4. We email you the full instructions for reaching the programmes, together with copies of the agendas.
  5. Attend the live sessions, or watch the on demand video, then report your hours to CICC.

Buying more than one bundle

One bundle is registered to one account. If you want a second bundle, register it using a different email address, or buy the courses you need individually instead.

Single courses

Individual courses need no bundle and no subscription. If a course is already inside a bundle you have bought, you do not need to buy it again.

Before you buy. Check what you still need for your own reporting period. CPD counts where the subject matter falls within your scope of practice, and completing the hours, reporting them, and watching the expiry date on any on demand video remain the member's responsibility.

Claiming your hours

How to claim CPD from CICC

  1. Complete your hours before 11:59 pm local time on 30 June. The CPD Term runs 1 July to 30 June.
  2. Enter each activity in the CPD Learning Log in the College Portal.
  3. Complete the College's CPD Attestation Form and upload it into the CPD Attestation section of your Annual Renewal Form.
  4. Submit the Annual Renewal inside the College's renewal window. Email submissions are not accepted.
  5. Keep your receipts and proof of completion for five years.

What the College requires

  • RCICs: 16 CPD hours each Term, one of them relating to professionalism or the Code of Professional Conduct.
  • RISIAs: 6 CPD hours each Term, one of them relating to professionalism or the Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Carry forward is capped at 6 hours for RCICs and 2 hours for RISIAs, and only if you earned more than the requirement.
  • Newly licensed members owe one hour for each month, or part month, left in the Term.

Reporting is the College's process, not ours. Our plain summary of the rules, with section references, is at CPD Requirements for RCICs and RISIAs. Where anything differs, the College's regulation governs.

Policies and support

What applies to every registration

Access and expiry

Bundle access runs until 2 August 2027. Everything in the bundle, live and on demand, stays open to you until that date.

A single video course is credited for one year from the date the session was presented live.

Proof and records

Your invoice and confirmation stay in your member profile, and the agenda for each session is emailed to you.

A certificate is not issued for every course. CICC asks you to keep proof of attendance or purchase for five years.

Who we are approved by

C.D.E.S. is a CICC Approved CPD Provider and an LSBC Approved CPD Provider.

Approval covers the programme. Deciding what your own reporting period still needs, and reporting it, stays with you.

A few things worth knowing before you buy

  • One bundle is registered to one account. A second bundle needs a different email address, or buy the courses you need individually.
  • Individual courses need no bundle and no subscription. A course already inside a bundle you hold does not need to be bought again.
  • Registering for a live session does not include the video version unless the course page says so.

Check whether a course is accredited for Ontario before you rely on it. LSO CPD requirement

Every law society sets its own requirement in its own words and changes it from time to time. Confirm eligibility and the category a course counts toward with your own regulator before you register.
