Designated C.P.D. Educator

Ms. Lulwa Al Hidiq,   (RCIC )

  • Commissioner of Oaths
  • Past Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC)
  • Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC)

Lulwa Al Hidiq is the President and CEO of Altoria Immigration and Business Consulting Inc. It is Toronto based and she has been serving both the local and global community as an RCIC since 2013.

Lulwa is also a Certified Public Accountant from California Board of Accountancy with over 10 years of professional experience in multi-national public accounting firms both in Canada and overseas with organizations such as Ernst and Young, KPMG and PWC.  During her tenure in those organizations, she was an avid mentor and trainer for both in house staff and to clients on many an occasion and on various subject matters.

She has a passion for teaching and has taught formally at a Private Career College in the IPP program from 2017 to 2019. Lulwa’s perspective on law and the legal system was completely overhauled after her family’s immigration to Canada and after she changed her profession from being a CPA to becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant – RCIC.  A lot of the cases she was retained for involved those of refugees and vulnerable people, among other economic class cases, but her work drew her into legal research, analysis and litigation at the IRB.    After which she realised that her calling was law.   I had to pause to focus on my Law Degree – LLB – from the University of London, UK that has taken a lot of my time and was completed concurrently with her work.  She has since recently graduated, as of May 2023 and is in the process of becoming licensed at the Ontario Bar, a process that takes some time.  In the meantime, she is doing her GPLLM - Master of Laws at the University of Toronto.  During this time, Lulwa is also proud to say that she has been appointed as the first ever female Chair of CAPIC Board, which was an immense honor for her and that required a lot of work.  A very busy time indeed!!!

Lulwa holds a Bachelor’s in Business Studies with an emphasis in Accounting, passed the CPA from the California Board of Accountancy and holds a Diploma in Immigration Consulting.  When needed, she also mentors a group of RCIC’s and offers them support as needed.

Lulwa speaks English and Arabic fluently and some French and Greek. She has a passion for teaching and sharing the knowledge she has acquired through her practice and experience and is thrilled to be a member of CDEC’s educators.
