Event Objectives:

Misrepresentation occurs when information is provided to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that is inconsistent, inaccurate, or incomplete.

Once discovered by the agency, this may result in detention if the foreign national is in Canada in any status. Once detained, further actions and remedies can be dealt via IRB (ID) hearing process.

This seminar will cover the overview of laws, policy, procedures and guidance used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada staff in Canada and the IRB (Immigration Refugee Board)


·         DVD/Video Format: Registrants will have an opportunity to access the course online 24/7 via web until the expiration of the course as per ICCRC policy or June 30, with in respective CPD reporting year.

Registrant is responsible to read regulator's regulations for reporting and expiration policy.
