Event Objectives: Canada’s family sponsorship program is primarily designed to reunite Canadian citizens and permanent residents with close family members. While the most common family sponsorships are for spouses, children, and parents/grandparents, there are provisions for other relatives under specific conditions. The "Other Relatives" category is part of Canada's family sponsorship program but is more restrictive compared to the sponsorships for immediate family members. It allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor certain extended family members. Sponsoring other relatives involves meeting stringent requirements and often has more limitations compared to sponsoring immediate family members. Understanding the specific criteria and ensuring that all required documentation is provided are key to navigating the application process successfully.
