These terms apply to every registration with C.D.E.S., for bundles and for single courses. Registering is your agreement to them.

  3. ConfirmYou receive instructions by email straight away. Check your inbox and your spam folder.
  4. AccessLog in to the programme, complete it, and claim your CPD credits with your regulator.

No membership needed

There is no pre-registration and no membership requirement. Your online profile is created automatically during your first registration, and you can reach it at any time.

Payment

Payments and professional information

Online only

We do not accept registrations or payments at the door. All transactions are completed through this website.

What to have ready

Your regulatory ID, for example your CICC, LSO or LSBC number, and your payment card.

Accuracy and fees

Providing accurate contact details is the registrant's responsibility. C.D.E.S. is not responsible for access problems caused by incorrect information given at checkout. C.D.E.S. may change fees or close registrations at any time without prior notice.

Retention

Records and profile retention

C.D.E.S. runs on an annual cycle that follows the CPD Term, 1 July to 30 June. To keep the system clean and to protect data, records are closed and removed after each Term.

  • When access ends. Access to programmes and to your records for a CPD Term ends after the 30 June reporting deadline. For the 2027 Term the date is 2 August 2027.
  • What is removed. Profiles, registration records and invoices for that Term are deleted or archived.
  • New Term, new profile. To buy a programme for a new reporting year you create a new profile. Credentials from the previous Term will not work once the reset is complete.
  • Download first. Save your invoices, certificates, agendas and notes before the access date passes. They cannot be recovered afterwards.

What you get

Bundles and how sessions are delivered

Bundle programmes

The bundle price covers every CPD event listed inside that programme. No additional individual registrations and no further payments are required for courses included in your bundle.

Live, then on demand

Sessions are delivered live online, so you can put questions to the speaker and take part with the other attendees. Every live session is also recorded and released as an on demand video.

Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds

This section sets out the full policy. Summaries elsewhere on the site are for convenience only.

  • Live webinars. Cancellation requests must be sent by email at least three business days before the live event. A $25 administration fee applies to every approved refund.
  • Late cancellations. Requests made within 24 hours of a live event start time are not refundable. If you miss a live session, C.D.E.S. gives you access to the video recording, where one is available, at no extra cost.
  • Video and on demand. There are no refunds or exchanges for a course delivered in video format once the registration is complete.
  • Duplicate payments. If you pay for the same programme twice, email us your name and the invoice numbers. We refund the duplicate in full to the card you used.
  • If a regulator denies a claim. If a regulatory body denies your CPD claim for one of our approved courses, send us the proof and the reason. Where the error is ours, we issue a full refund within 48 business hours.

Use and compliance

Intellectual property and your own obligations

  • Personal use only. C.D.E.S. materials and recordings are for the professional development of the paid registrant alone. Distributing, sharing or duplicating them without authorisation is prohibited and may end your access.
  • Claiming your credits. Where a course is eligible for hours, submitting the claim to your regulatory body, whether CICC, LSO, LSBC or another, is the registrant's responsibility, in line with that body's current policies.
  • Requirements differ by province. CPD and CLE obligations for legal and other regulated professionals vary across Canada. Check your own law society or regulatory body for the rules that apply to you.
