Event Objectives:

This session provides an in-depth review of the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process with a focus on recent policy updates and government priorities shaping labour market access. Participants will explore the high-wage and low-wage streams, recruitment requirements, transition plans, and employer obligations under compliance inspections. Through case studies of real LMIA applications, RCICs will learn to identify red flags, prepare complete files, and advise employers on best practices to avoid penalties. The course highlights the critical intersection between LMIA approvals and work permit applications to ensure seamless client service.
