CPD Certificate Support

To ensure your C.D.E.S. certificate accurately reflects your completion and remains compliant with CICC reporting standards, it is vital that the Date of Issue matches the actual day you generate the document.

Following these instructions will help you avoid conflicts during a CICC audit or when logging your hours in the College portal.

Step-by-Step: Selecting the Correct Certificate Date

  1. Access the Certificate Generator: Log in to your member dashboard and navigate to your completed CPD Bundle page. Click the "Generate Certificate" button.

  2. Verify the "Date of Issue" Field: Before clicking 'Submit' or 'Download,' locate the date selection field. The system is designed to default to the current calendar date.

    • Action: Double-check that the date shown is today's date.

  3. Why "Today's Date" is Mandatory: Your certificate includes a legal declaration stating that you viewed the videos between your registration date and the date the certificate is generated.

    • Avoid Conflict: Selecting a past or future date creates a discrepancy between our system logs and your certificate, which can lead to a rejected claim if the CICC requests a verification check.

  4. Confirm and Generate: Once you have verified the date, click "submit." 

Important Reminders

  • Audit Trail: The C.D.E.S. learning system maintains an internal timestamp of when you actually completed the videos. Always ensure your certificate date aligns with your actual usage to maintain a clean audit trail.

  • One-Time Generation: We recommend generating your certificate as soon as you finish the final video in your bundle to ensure the most accurate "Date of Completion" for your records.

  • Support: If the date field is not functioning correctly or shows an incorrect year, please stop and contact us immediately at support@cdecanada.com before downloading the document.

Troubleshooting: Date Picker & Certificate Issues

If you encounter a glitch, such as the date field appearing blank, showing the wrong year, or being unclickable, please follow these quick steps to resolve the issue before generating your document.

1. Refresh Your Browser (The "Quick Fix") Sometimes a page does not load all its scripts correctly. Press Ctrl + R (Windows) or Command + R (Mac) to reload the page and try the date picker again.

2. Use "Incognito" or Private Mode Saved data (cache) from previous sessions can sometimes interfere with the system.

  • Open your browser menu and select "New Incognito Window" (Chrome) or "New Private Window" (Safari/Firefox).

  • Log back in to C.D.E.S. and attempt to generate the certificate there.

3. Try a Different Browser If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer or a specific mobile browser, the date picker may not display correctly. We recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

4. Disable Ad-Blockers Some aggressive browser extensions can block the "pop-up" calendar or the "Generate" script. Try disabling your ad-blocker for www.cdecanada.net temporarily to see if the date field becomes active.

5. Clear Your Browser Cache If the date is stuck on a "past date," your browser may be showing you a cached version of the page. Clear your browsing data/cache in your settings, restart the browser, and try again.

Still Having Trouble?

If the date picker continues to malfunction, do not download a certificate with an incorrect date. A mismatched date can cause a conflict with your CICC claim records.
